The Brownsville Murders (1933) is an engaging blend of police procedural, a view into rural Canadian life during the 1930s, and a unique blend of characters.
The Brownsville Murders, set in a titular Canadian farming village in the province of New Brunswick begins with a young couple engaged to be married who come across a body in the middle of the road. Upon close inspection they see the man has been shot in the head. When they go for help and return to the scene of the accident, the body has disappeared!
