Inside were thirteen leather-bound books, buried by an unknown hand around the year 370, after the bishop of Alexandria ordered them burned. Someone disobeyed. Fifty-two Christian texts crossed sixteen hundred years of darkness - the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Philip, the Gospel of Truth - and arrived intact in the twentieth century.
This book is an investigation of what they say, and of why they had to be buried.
The discoveryIn the canonical gospels, Jesus proclaims a Kingdom that is yet to come. In Thomas he says: The Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men see it not. This is not a different Jesus. It is the same Master speaking from further down - and it is that layer the institutional history chose not to carry forward.
You will find that these texts were not silenced for being false. They were silenced for making intermediaries unnecessary.
