La Secchia Rapita (The Stolen Bucket) is a mock-heroic epic poem by Alessandro Tassoni, first published in 1622. This edition, printed in Londra [London] and Livorno by Masi & Co. in 1779, presents a beautifully preserved example of this seminal work of Italian literature.
The poem recounts the comic war between Modena and Bologna, sparked by the theft of a wooden bucket.
