Istoria Delle Cose Operate Nella China recounts the experiences and observations of Monsignor Giovanni Ambrogio Mezzabarba, the Patriarch of Alexandria and Apostolic Legate to China, later Bishop of Lodi, during his mission to the Chinese Empire. This historical account offers a detailed glimpse into the interactions between the Catholic Church and China in the 18th century. The work explores the cultural, religious, and political landscape of China through the eyes of a prominent religious figure. It provides valuable insights into the challenges and achievements of the Catholic missions in the Far East, documenting the efforts to establish and maintain a Christian presence within a vastly different cultural context. Istoria Delle Cose Operate Nella China is an important historical document for those interested in the history of Christianity, Sino-European relations, and the cultural exchanges of the early modern period.
