Modern AI does not read words the way humans do. It divides text into tokens, converts those tokens into numbers, represents them as vectors, and processes them through many mathematical layers. It does not understand a sentence in the human sense. It calculates relationships, predicts probabilities, and generates one token at a time.

By understanding the architecture, many apparent mysteries disappear.
Hallucinations become a predictable result of probabilistic generation. Context loss becomes a consequence of limited input windows. Weak performance in specialized domains becomes a result of poor data, tokenization, embeddings, or training. The machine becomes explainable.
