In The Shadow Of Sinai: A Story Of Travel And Research From 1895 To 1897 (1898) is a book written by Agnes Smith Lewis. It is a detailed account of her travels and research in the Middle East during the late 19th century. The book covers her journey through Egypt, Palestine, and Syria, where she explored ancient manuscripts and artifacts related to biblical studies. The author also describes her encounters with local people and their customs, as well as her experiences traveling through the desert and living in tents. The book is a fascinating glimpse into the life of a female scholar in a time when such pursuits were not common for women.
