Dr. Anya Veridian, a historian who abandoned her Christian faith after personal tragedy, uncovers an ancient manuscript hidden beneath the ruins of a first-century church in Antioch. The text, dubbed The Commission, references humanity's divine mandate to act as Guardians of Creation. The manuscript aligns with Biblical teachings but introduces a prophetic warning: humanity's failure to steward God's creation could lead to its ultimate judgment.
As Anya embarks on a journey to decode the manuscript, she faces opposition from factions who either seek to suppress the truth or exploit it for personal gain. Alongside a pastor turned archaeologist, a reformed hacker, and a devout theologian, Anya uncovers a series of connections to Scripture, revealing that humanity's purpose is to glorify God by safeguarding His creation and spreading His Word.
The manuscript's final revelation shakes Anya's fragile faith: humanity's free will was granted not only as a blessing but as a test of its readiness to inherit God's Kingdom. The book ends on a dramatic cliffhanger as the manuscript presents a question rooted in Revelation: If humanity is called to reign with Christ, how will you prepare to rule?
