The contemporary biotechnological revolution is undeniably improving the material conditions of human existence by increasing the goods, opportunities, and conveniences offered by modern society. However, this technological progress comes with a major risk: that of a civilizational regression affecting human dignity. The trivialization of life and the instrumentalization of the body-now subjected to transformations that threaten its very essence-reflect a profound crisis of humanity.
