A funny, chaotic chapter book for children aged 8-11 who like stories more than reading.
Summer was NOT invited to boys' camp.
Rude.
But when a new teepee, a fire pit, bossy paper instructions, BBQ smoke, a muddy little brother and one very important first aid kit turn the weekend into total chaos, the boys discover they might need Summer more than they thought.
I Hate Reading: Stinky Boys is a warm, funny and neurodivergent-friendly children's story about teamwork, reading real-life instructions, spotting things others miss, staying calm under pressure, and learning that being different can be brilliant.
Perfect for:
- reluctant readers
- dyslexic readers
- ADHD and autistic readers
- children who prefer pictures, humour and real-life adventures
- parents looking for funny chapter books with heart
- teachers, SENCOs and families supporting neurodivergent children
Packed with BBQs, s'mores, fire safety, muddy chaos, a cheeky seagull, a loyal dog and one girl who refuses to be just the little sister, this is a story for every child who has ever thought:
I like stories... I just don't always like reading.
Part of the I Hate Reading series, written for children who need books that feel funny, readable, real and a little bit chaotic.
