When Hammie, a homeless rescue dog, is adopted by Marigold he learns what it means to have a human who loves him. Hammie eagerly explores his new home full of doggy surprises, and forms a pack of neighborhood friends. Told from Hammie's point of view, Marigold and Hammie's story provides children with a dog's relatable thoughts and feelings. With its cheerful illustrations and its adorable hero, this charming tale will delight humans of all ages. Hammie and Marigold is inspired by the author's true story of adopting Hammie from a shelter, and the love and friendship that followed. It is the first in a series, Hammie and Friends, that explores companionship, cute pets, and canine adventures-each story told from the unique point of view of Hammie. Melina Caper donates a portion of each sale of Hammie and Marigold to animal rescue organizations.
