For this illustrated guide, I chose to examine 157 logical fallacies (there are hundreds) through illustrations, complete with simple definitions and examples. When you analyze the evidence, you'll find that logical fallacies fail for one of four reasons: 1. the reasons given don't actually support the point; 2. a word or phrase is unclear or shifts meaning mid-
argument; 3. the argument rests on unproven claims; or 4. the argument gets cause and effect wrong.
