After the events of Hamlet, Horatio is miserable. King Fortinbras suddenly receives notice of a letter purported to be from himself, that he never wrote. Catastrophes follow.
Sometimes silly, sometimes miserable, this abridged attempted sequel comes in at around 28,000 words. It was shrunk down from the original's approximately 36,000 words, with the abridging done for pacing purposes.
Although it's recommended to see Hamlet first because this story has spoilers for Hamlet, and seeing Hamlet first would give greater context, the story is written so audiences may be able to follow along without having seen Hamlet.
