Meet Pollux. Brave. Gifted. More than what she seems. Expert in multiple forms of arm-to- arm combat, Mother of Dragons and Destiny awaits her....
On Pollux's sixteenth birthday last year, the young woman discovered that she had special powers. Our protagonist, better known as Polly in her human form, has been taught how to use her new magickal gifts by a powerful and, not to mention, very assertive pagan Witch, Eleanora. Alongside her scholarly Wizard for a mentor, Professor Timothy Rothschild, who, in his spare time, hunts down dark beings to destroy them and put an end to their evil plans. In short, it was a mind-boggling experience. Polly was shocked at first to discover the existence of a magickal realm in the United Kingdom that she knows and loves, yet she soon got used to the idea of magick, being confronted by the daily reality of it through the discovery of ancient prophecies, magickal books like the Tome of Herne, and a High Priestess who tasked her to complete warrior tests, where she found her own mystical sword - Polly's very own Sword of Hestia. Not to mention, she fell into a Pagan temple where she discovered hidden treasures, and to top it all off, the Goddess revealed the location of a sacred Dragon Egg for Polly to guard.
The adventure continues with Polly, as the Chosen One of legend, fighting one of history's most Evil Dark Witches, who breaks free of her prison. Polly must fight or die to protect her friends and her family, all the while seeking the seven sacred objects of the Goddess in the fight to stop Armageddon. Chris and Toni, Polly's closest friends, are also learning to navigate the magickal world alongside her and how to use their own gifts.
The Inner Circle are hot on Polly's, Chris's and Toni's heels and will stop at nothing to obtain the magick to start Armageddon on earth and find the key to extend life, all for their own evil gains.
This year is different, this year is darker, and the stakes are higher, and Polly must learn to lose, before she can rise again, even stronger.
Chapter One - Part I
The Story of Pollux's Birth
The Watchers in the Woods
Seventeen years ago...
A witch presiding over a birth is a curious thing. It signifies the arrival of someone marked by destiny. In fact, wicked people and evil-doers harbouring ill intentions to alter the fates of entire worlds will follow a witch if there is a destiny to snub out. Don't ask me why or what was done to evil-doers to make them wish to put the good of these realms to the sword.
Push, Tabitha! Push! Eleanora, a pagan witch of fierce reputation, encouraged Tabitha to push to deliver her baby as twilight fell over the lands on Earth, yet a Gateway had been called to another dimension.
The young mother's back was pressed firmly against the grassy floor of the evergreen forest, protected by the magick of the realms to keep it eternally green. You must push harder. Eleanora gazed at the last line of the setting sun, We don't have much time left. The baby needs to be born before sunset. Before the servants of the Darkness get here. The Shadows draw near. Eleanora's heart beat rapidly. She concealed her fear by working her fingers to remove her gloves. The Darkness could very well welcome the end of everything. But we have one last chance left to us. Eleanora looked down at the birthing mother.
