The Harmonic Series and Beyond explores an intriguing question: What if the way we learn to hear music also offers insight into how we learn to experience life?
Beginning with a single tone and the hidden harmonics already present within it, this short reflective journey moves through music, listening, growth, complexity, and human awareness. Drawing on ideas from music, psychology, philosophy, and lived experience, the booklet explores how richer relationships sometimes emerge from what initially appears simple.
As melodies become many voices, and harmony gives way to tension and dissonance, a larger question begins to unfold: How does awareness learn to hear more?
Through ideas such as hidden harmonics, expanding musical language, dissonance, and equanimity, the book invites readers to consider how we relate to uncertainty, complexity, and one another. It suggests that growth may not always come from adding more, but sometimes from discovering more within what is already present.
