Hands Around Reigen: A Cycle of Ten Dialogues is a play written by Austrian author Arthur Schnitzler. The play consists of ten interlinked dialogues, each between two characters, which explore themes of love, sex, and social class in turn-of-the-century Vienna. The characters include a prostitute, a soldier, a poet, a countess, and a married couple, among others. Each dialogue ends with one character leaving and encountering the next character in the cycle, creating a circular structure. The play was originally written in German and was controversial for its frank depiction of sexuality and its critique of bourgeois morality. It has been adapted into various forms, including the play La Ronde, which was later turned into a film by Max Oph�����ls.1920. Authorized Translation.
