Half Empty - Half Full, Half Sun - Half Moon, Half Color - Half Gray, Half Me - Half You. Simply because I left so many halves behind, that I am only left with 2 quarters to give. And it's neither about the half that leaves, nor about the half that stays.
We bump into people who teach us things, we are hit by people who learn something from us and we let go of people who are so beautifully different from us that we turn into broken glass and crave for water since we first touch the hard wooden floor. Empty halls are filled with light only if we touch the curtains, gently, and push them to the middle of nowhere.I miss kindness when I am not treated kindly, I miss having fun when my soul is caged in an useless fortress, I miss honesty when I am being lied to, I miss sacrifice when I am treated less than magic, I miss the sea when I listen to songs we would dance on as if nobody were looking, and mostly, I miss me, when I treat myself with less freedom than the sun's.
And then I also miss him, but only every day, and weirdly enough, he's not just the only one to whom I cannot say it any more but he is also the one who took the better half.
There are no feelings greater than the ones felt with eyes closed. There is no awareness, unless there's something missing.
So today, I am letting go of my last half, he's not here to help me pack my bags, I have no clothes and this time is only me.
