Glooed is a coming of age story of the unusual kind, about a woman in her 60's whose satisfying and rewarding work life has come to an end. As this woman navigates retirement and the challenging transition to chief granny nanny, her responsibilities morph and childhood memories surface shedding some light on who she is and what she does. Why does she feel compelled to take on the odd jobs that no one else cares to do? How did this woman who never wanted to marry become a wife, mother, and the go-to playmate and sitter for her grandchildren? This is a self-deprecating, funny look at the life of one woman who tries to come to terms with the limitations of her body, her age, her childhood, and the image in the mirror all the while being pushed and pulled, literally and figuratively, by her husband, children, grandchildren, and most of all, by herself.
