Highly interesting to children - Congratulations on your magnificent manuscript of Nervous Nellie. I especially love the depth of message addressing the emotional development of children. I was a Nervous Nellie student but was unable to curl up.Character development (both moral and temperament) portrayed through animals is clever, respectful and highly interesting to children. And so many positive life lessons! I also deeply appreciate the exposure to the liberal arts education within the story line; music, history, geography and more. Validating and empowering- As a parent of children with anxiety (and an anxiety sufferer myself) it is heartwarming to see them discover a storybook character that validates their day to day reality: from nervous stomach aches and crippling fear of the new, to the support both at home and at school that highlights accomplishments and leads to empowerment. The beautiful illustrations and interesting character profiles invite readers into Nellie's world, and provide a comfortable platform with which to draw parallels to a reader's experience.
