Do you want to inspire your children to love reading and learning?
With The Great Bookworm your children will be introduced to the idea that reading and learning is fun and have many benefits, including our wellbeing and how we see ourselves and others. Becoming a life-long learner is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your children.
The story is about Albi who glows due to his love of learning and reading. Soon the other worms become jealous of his glow.
Albi loves to learn and visiting the Garibaldi Library helps him do this. He chews through books, slides over maps and bores through piles of information at the Library. His continuous learning has an amazing impact on his growth and development.
Albi friends find out why he glows. They want to be liked him and begin chewing and digesting knowledge from the Library. Albi continues to build on his knowledge and wants to share it with his wider worm community. He wants to share his love of learning so he establishes his own Worm School.
It's a great book for children, especially those at preschool and primary school. It is also is a wonderful educational resource for teachers and parents to inspire and promote the love of learning.
This book aspires to educate children and parents about the concept of encouraging reading and learning experiences at a young age. Albi's friends find the secret to his success... reading, learning and sharing knowledge and hopefully this will help parents and their 3-5 year old children do the same.
You can make your own Albi by creating a yellow sock puppet. More ideas and fun can be found at www.kristinamurray-hally.com
