Every kid has been Grigor - a young T-Rex who throws tantrums when his team loses, and learns a valuable lesson about being a sore loser.
In this vibrant story, young readers discover that caring only about winning takes away the fun of the game. Grigor tackles one of childhood's most fundamental lessons: how to be gracious in defeat.
Young Grigor the Tyrannosaur is very competitive. He plays a different sport each day of the week and losing makes his reptilian blood boil. When the small dinosaur blows his top each time his team fails to win a game, he soon finds out that no one likes to play with a sore loser. In Grigor, the Competitive Tyrannosaur Who Roared and Roared, vibrant illustrations combined with an engaging rhyming text impart the important social-emotional learning lesson of good sportsmanship, self-control, and resilience. Written and illustrated before AI - all words and images came from minds, not models.
Perfect for:
- Ages 3-8
- Read-aloud at home, in the classroom, or after a crushing defeat
- Social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum on sportsmanship, self-control, and resilience
- Young athletes, sore losers (we've all been there), and anyone who loves dinosaurs
