When the Wenceslas family sees a homeless man pushing a shopping cart through their neighborhood, they decide to lend a helping hand. Dad and Page drive through the snow to bring bags of groceries to the St. Agnes Fountain Homeless Shelter, but the boy finds it hard to make his way through the wind and snow! Will they have to turn back? Or can his father find a way to help Page keep going, so they can share their good fortune with others?Good King Wenceslas is for children of all backgrounds and beliefs. It's a story of compassion for strangers and for the people we know best.Marcia Santore's illustrations bring color and dancing movement to the cold night, from the cosy home of the Wenceslas family to the urban setting of the homeless shelter, and back again. It wouldn't be Good King Wenceslas without the music! Discover an easy setting of the carol by composer Jonathan Santore at the end of the book.
