Ferguson has once again taken a serious subject, which all Vancouverites and most Canadian's are very aware of, namely 'The Missing Women'.Over a ten year period many indigenous women from Vancouver's notorious Downtown Eastside went missing. The authorities, the Police, the Politicians sat on their hands and did nothing for too many years. This book has the scenario erupting again and the question is have any lessons been learnt? At it's heart, however, the book is crammed with humor as the old and scruffy DI Blackstone and his trusty rookie side-kick PC Hancock deal with a series of related murders making Blackstone question Is it happening again and will anything be done? This is a fun read with a dark background.
