Saints are real-life heroes and heroines of faith who inspire us by their virtues to become more like Christ. In this series of beautifully illustrated early reader books, these real stories come to life and connect with a today's children, ages 4 to 9.

Gerard Majella was devoted to the service of God. As a Redemptorist lay brother he served as a sacristan, gardener, cook, carpenter, porter, and many other humble positions. He was a kind and gentle man, always willing to help others. God blessed St. Gerard Majella with special charisms and miraculous cures. His feast day is celebrated on October 16. He is the patron saint of lay brothers and expectant mothers.
