This book treats childrearing and education as the domain in which the propositions of generative relational being become simultaneously visible, testable, and unavoidable. The child occupies a position the framework had addressed only obliquely. An account of the subject that presumes a party who has already been seen, who holds other relations elsewhere, and who therefore retains reserves against which any present relation can be measured, describes an adult. A young child holds none of these. The book's founding asymmetry follows, and with it a re-derivation requirement: wherever an earlier proposition concerned something a subject may do, this book must establish that the doing is available to a child, and where it is not, must state what takes its place as a new proposition.
