Naraine is always positive and he shows it in the Garden of Happiness with: Close your eyes and imagine your life in as another Eden1 And you can call it yours and can build a fence around it Below the surface there's a system of roots in this garden Responsibility for the garden's growth will keep you fit How do you cultivate this garden of happiness? And what is its impact on the greater whole Till the soil with compassion without any finesse Sow your seeds with love and all your soul Compassion should be you only tool Your attitude and actions should be kind nothing new Yes! do remember the Golden Rule, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you Then in Mothers he shows his love for his mother in: Mothers are very precious Their meals are delicious For the socks or shirt you cannot find A mother is there to soothe your mind If you are lazy and leave your room in a mess She'll fret but she'll clean it I have to confess Some kids' eyes are covered with wool Then motherhood to them is ungrateful They love you with faults anyhow They will even face a butting cow If someone ever threaten a mother's young Even if you threaten to cut out their tongue They will defend their young so gallantly And you will always have their loyalty They are the bulwark of the health systems They're more precious than diamond or gems No matter how warring with flags we unfurled Our loving mothers brought us into this world Always Dreams Do Come Through, he dreamt: Me think I remember a poem which says Sleep to dream or dream to sleep! I say dreams come through in many ways Especially when your sleep is deep It can happen even to the simple fellow To shorten that eastern passage around Africa Many had dreams including Marco Polo Who founded the desired Silk Road to China He brags about blessed he is in I'm too Blessed to be Stressed: To me they are just a bag of waste Folks who I would never embrace So you see how I'm out of that mess Its because I'm so thankfully blessed He shows a little of Martin Carter in My Blood is in your Sugar Nice country, new lives! nice Guiana! Betta me bin stay me fat ass in India Than come to this hell hole Guh get lots a full rice bowl But I see a bahin smile this afternoon I hope she don't think I'm a buffoon Only her sweet smile keeping me alive That's what I'm living for all the while One day one day we gun hook up Maybe at the end of this crop And we gun build a lil benab If only the Massa won't rab Me, give me my promised land But I hope to God he understand Then me and me sweet bahin Guh marry and raise some kin And hope one day one day When dis damn denturship end And when I hope I can still bend We can leave this hell hole Guyana And go back home to Mother India He reminisces about his beloved Guyana in Sea Wall And as you follow the sea-wall to the city You see lovers smooching in many an alley They are on bicycles or just standing Looking into one another's eyes talking As the waters lash the sea-wall with sprays Likewise hearts and desires are in a blaze Looking across the sea each with dreams For life abroad hatching plots or schemes Concentrating on emotions so fervent Oblivious of all in that environment
