Gangland is a dark gritty crime novel which contains plenty of action such as trafficking. Counterfeit money. Cartel families. Narcotics. Court room drama. Prisons. FBI. Underworld. Businessmen. There's a lot to like about this story as it also contains a splash of romance. A young European female with no qualifications or knowledge was finding it difficult to be employed. One day she had seen an advertisement in a window which was looking for someone to be employed in their family home to be a housemaid. Obviously maya, found this job suitable for her due to a lack of experience. There was two things which she had to take into consideration, her ill parents and travelling to the north of England where she had to be employed to work at. When she had decided to take that extra step in life to be independent her life takes an unexpected twist. When she arrived at the airport a man named peter was there waiting to greet her, but there was more to Peter than she expected, but she never found out until a later date. Suzy, who also lived at the house was dominant in her own way. Maya, wasn't aware of what had been taking place at the house until she soon became a part of it. After a while maya, was more concerned about loosing her baby. This was something which happened unexpectedly, but maya found herself trapped like a mouse. Now where to hide or run to other than being told that she doesn't have any choice's. A number of unfortunate things had took place between Peter and maya, but there was a reason to why Peter had acted the way he did. None of this was new to Suzy. The only thing which started to affect suzy, was jealousy which was caused by maya and Peter themselves. Suzy, told Peter, that they had to change maya's name, but they never explained to her the reason why it must of just been a wild fantasy to the both of them, but they had their reasons, just like everything else which they started to do. Peter and Suzy, walked maya around the house to show her where needs cleaning and where her cleaning supplies were kept, but Peter, did warn maya, but he never told her the consequences. One afternoon when peter and Suzy, were both out shopping together maya, decided to snoop around their house, especially the places where she was told that doesn't need cleaning. Maya, walked up towards the first bedroom door to turn the handle, but it was locked so she decided to look through the key hole. Maya, couldn't stop her face. This gave her a rough idea about the type of people that Peter and Suzy, are. Now Peter, is a very devious manipulator in all forms, but his past comes back
