Joey Black was enjoying a quiet evening on his Alabama porch when a spaceship showed up over the yard. His first complaint was about the high beams. His second was that the aliens had left his drink behind.
The crew of Scout Ship 7-B expected a routine human examination. Joey has other ideas. He knows his way around stubborn machinery, has strong opinions about whiskey, and sees no reason to treat the voice in the ceiling like a piece of equipment.
Soon the ship has a name-Rusty-and Joey has an unlikely crew in Cletus, Bo, and Skeeter. Their improvised homebrew operation is only the beginning of the trouble. When the patrol starts asking questions, the crew must decide how far they'll go for the friendships none of them were supposed to make.
First contact was the easy part.
Galactic Homebrew is a funny, bighearted space adventure about alien rules, human ingenuity, and a ship learning to choose its own course.
