Translucent, giving no definite idea of it's mass or shape. It seemed to travel through walls and float in the air over her. Occasionally it would move close and look directly into her eyes. Samantha would notice a shadowy pigment to the thing as it's eyes grew larger and closer to her own. Dark and penetrating, yet impenetrable. They pierced her like a sword passing through her soul. The shape would then quickly zip away through her window without it breaking. At that point Samantha realized frightfully, it was not how bizarre life had become, but how it always had been.
