From University to Pluriversity: The Restoration of the African Matrix
Is the modern university truly universal, or is it a uni-versity of a single perspective?
In this groundbreaking manifesto, Alphonse Mpeke (DEx) challenges the hegemony of Western-centric education and proposes a radical architectural shift in how we produce and validate knowledge. From University to Pluriversity is not just a critique of colonial education; it is a restorative roadmap for the African Matrix and a call for global cognitive justice.

The Vision of the Pluriversity
For centuries, the Tree of Human Epistemology has been pruned to favour a single branch of logic. Mpeke argues that for humanity to flourish, we must transition from the narrow confines of the University to the inclusive breadth of the Pluriversity-a space where diverse worldviews coexist, interact, and enrich one another as equals.
Inside this Co-Afrowological Manifesto, you will explore:
Step out of the Uni-verse and into the Pluri-verse. Reclaim the matrix. Restore the tree.

- The Restoration of the African Matrix: Reclaiming the philosophical and spiritual foundations that have been silenced by epistemicide.
- The Tree of Epistemology: A deep dive into how knowledge is rooted, grown, and shared across cultures.
- Co-Afrwology: A new methodological framework for scholars and thinkers to centre African lived experiences and logic.
- Decolonizing the Mind: Practical insights into breaking free from intellectual dependency and fostering authentic African thought.
- Scholars & Students of African Studies, Philosophy, and Sociology.
- Educators looking for a framework to decolonize the curriculum.
- Activists dedicated to social and cognitive justice.
- Global Thinkers interested in the future of human knowledge and education.
Step out of the Uni-verse and into the Pluri-verse. Reclaim the matrix. Restore the tree.
