When the reader opens the book, the first impression may be: Oh, my God, that's a lot of reading here! But as soon as he/she enters the universe of the main character, Valerie, he/she forgets about the number of pages and becomes solidary with her.
The vast majority of people have simple, monotonous lives, they are born, go to school, then to work, get married, have children, die. Without too many incidents. It's not Valerie's case. This woman's life story is amazing, making you ask yourself, WHY? Why do some people have a life full of unpleasant surprises, of misfortune we could say, all the way? Is it only given to chosen people to live hard lives? Their life is similar to the characters' in the fairy tales that go through many difficult moments, extreme moments sometimes, to finally get their well-deserved reward, and the conclusion good overcomes evil is justified. Really?
Let's hope so! It sounds optimistic. This book seems to be especially addressed to women, but that's not right! Anyone can learn something from Valerie's story. As a conclusion, I could say that the message of the book is: a winner is a dreamer who never gives up no matter how bitter brew gets in life's cup!

I write this message to let all of you know, single mothers out there, you are not alone.
All of you, out there, abused, abandoned, mistreated, struggling to carry weights much too heavy for you, fighting with forces far more powerful than you are.
I write this message for you to know you can conquer the world. I write this message to let you know the child abandoned in your arms by those who should have helped you with that child, is the greatest power God ever gives a human.
Your struggle has been heroic since the beginning of time. You are the true heroes. You, tired and sleepless, because you rocked in your arms your child in fever all night long. You, poorly dressed, because you spent all your money to dress well your child. You, abused and ridiculed for sacrificing your lives for the best interest of your child.
Don't let anyone you meet along your journey say you're wrong. Those who despise you because they have a happy family life, while you spend your life struggling alone. Those who despise you because they are rich, while you live in a small apartment and drive an old car, even though you work from dawn to dusk. Those whose greatest worry is what to wear at their next party, while you hardly have money to pay your utilities. Those who spend each and every holiday in a different foreign location, while you work more on holidays than during your working days.
No matter what they tell you, no matter how contemptuously they look at you, don't let them convince you they are right and you are wrong.
