La Vraye Histoire De Tribovlet, Et Autres Poésies Inédites is a collection of previously unpublished poems from the 15th and 16th centuries. This volume, edited by Aristide Joly, presents a range of recreational, moral, and historical verses offering a glimpse into the literary tastes and cultural values of the time. The titular poem, La Vraye Histoire De Tribovlet, likely recounts the story of Triboulet, a famous jester of the French court. Other poems in the collection provide further insight into the social and political landscapes of medieval and early Renaissance France. This anthology will appeal to scholars and enthusiasts interested in French poetry, history, and the literature of the late Middle Ages.
