Kasos, plus petite et moins fréquentée, a préservé l'atmosphère d'un monde méditerranéen ancien, façonné par la mer et par des siècles d'histoire maritime.

Il a également été professeur à l'Université du Péloponnèse, où il a enseigné ces disciplines. Par ailleurs, c'est un randonneur culturel passionné et engagé.
