Histoire De La Venerable Mere Marie De L'incarnation, Premiere Superieure Du Monastere Des Ursulines De Quebec D'apres Dom Claude Martin..., recounts the life and times of a pivotal figure in the early history of French Canada. This biography, penned by Leon Chapot, details the remarkable story of Marie de l'Incarnation, the first superior of the Ursuline monastery in Quebec. The book offers insights into her spiritual journey, her leadership within the Ursuline order, and her significant contributions to the religious and educational landscape of New France. Based on the work of Dom Claude Martin, this historical account provides a valuable perspective on the challenges and triumphs of establishing a religious community in a new world. A compelling read for those interested in religious history, Canadian history, and the role of women in colonial societies.
