The third story is about Umukoko and Umukoro, a married couple who both become pregnant when the husband mistakenly drinks a potion; with help from Odame the witchdoctor, the husband's condition is reversed. Another fable shows the Tortoise cleverly outwitting the greedy Tiger, demonstrating that wit can overcome brute strength. The fifth tale narrates an epic conflict between Fish and Crocodiles for control of the river, which was eventually resolved by the Manatee's mediation. Lastly, Why Unity is Strength shows Okolosi's wisdom as he teaches his sons the value of unity over discord and pride through the lesson of breaking broomsticks.

The stories presented are distinctive and offer insight into prevailing societal norms and values.
