Failure is hard. But admitting it can be even harder!
Follow a clever Fox on a hot summer day as he encounters the most tempting prize: a cluster of perfect, purple grapes. The Fox is determined to reach them, but after every failed leap, his frustration grows bigger than his hunger.
Rather than accepting that the grapes are simply too high, the Fox must find a way to make himself feel better about his failure. His solution? To scorn the very thing he desperately wanted!
This essential moral tale from Aesop's Fables is a wonderful conversation starter about:
Dealing with disappointment and frustration.
The danger of pride and making excuses.
Learning to be honest about our own feelings.
A witty and beautifully illustrated story that reveals the true meaning behind the famous idiom, sour grapes.
