The Fortune Hunter: A Comedy In Four Acts is a play written by Winchell Smith and first published in 1909. The story revolves around a young man named Tom Randolph, who is in love with a wealthy woman named Ethel. However, Ethel is already engaged to a wealthy man named Howard Spurlock. Tom, who is not rich, decides to pursue Ethel anyway, hoping to win her heart and her fortune. Along the way, he gets help from his friend, Dick, and encounters various obstacles, including Ethel's disapproving father and a rival for Ethel's affections.
