I have two young children that I wrote and illustrated the book, Flip Flops in December about. My daughter Paityn age 9 and my son Cassell age 5. Knowing that in the month of December everybody is usually boots, pants, and winter gear. Seeing my children wearing flip flops at that time gave me a good reason to write this short story.
