Margaret Melton Taylor was born January 16, 1941, being the third living child of Annie and Jessie Melton. She grew up in the small community of Glenview, near Enfield, North Carolina. She graduated from Enfield High School and East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina. Married to Glenn Taylor in 1964, she moved to Beaufort, North Carolina, where she has lived for more than forty-three years. She has two sons, ages forty-two and thirty-eight, and one precious granddaughter, Ann Margaret, age eight. Son, Michael, his wife, Lynn, and Ann Margaret live in Tarboro, North Carolina, and son, Bradford, lives in Cary, North Carolina. Margaret wrote this book, Fingertips of Annie, because she did not want her motheras heritage to be lost in future years, but passed down to all new generations reminding them their lives had been built on a foundation of Love, Faith, and Perfect Peace, as well as how their ancestors lived before all this modern-day lifestyle.
