Note to Readers: The fictional narrative in this edition was originally developed as part of a creative process study titled The TRAIN to BLANKENSHIRE. This standalone edition is dedicated strictly to the story of Roger Bennett and his journey through Blankenshire, presented here without the experimental commentary or process analysis. In this fantastical narrative, a traveler named Roger Bennett unexpectedly arrives in the magical city of Blankenshire after falling asleep on a train. To find his way home, he joins forces with a diverse group of companions-Shar, a street performer; Theo, a man fleeing a misunderstood past; and Leo, a seeker of enlightenment. The group seeks the guidance of the wizard Fessamungus, eventually discovering that his assistant Matilda is the true magical power. Together, they execute a daring heist to steal the Key of Erland from the witch Morbidianna, who rules from the Tower of Mirrors. The story concludes with the successful retrieval of the artifact, allowing Roger to return to his world via a mystical portal. He is accompanied by Matilda, Shar, and Theo, who each choose to leave their reality behind for a chance at a new beginning.
