Imagine a typical love story, boy meets girl, Girl ignores boy. Boy feels upset; girl finally speaks to boy. Boy is over the moon they fall in love and live happily ever after. Well, this isn't really that kind of story for starters, the main characters aren't even human. The part of the boy is played by a fence post and the part of the girl is played by a tree. I would understand if you decided not to read on at this point but there are lots of relevant points in the story the main one, I believe is if you're going to dream, then dream big and nothing is impossible. I also mentioned the importance of trees showing a little bit green knowledge on a few pages. There's also violence, dark days and the suspense of knowing if the fence post achieves his goal or not. This is my first short story written on paper. I have many of them going around in my head but never seem to find the time to put them on paper.
I find writing things down awkward and even though the story sounds good in my head when I commit it to paper it never looks good enough to be read by anyone else. I was looking after a famous authors mother, and she introduced me to him telling him that I had lots of interesting stories to tell. Explain to him that because of my lack of education writing it down was really difficult. His simple reply was record it then get someone else to write it down. Thank you, Mr Sebag Montefiore your advice came in, handy but instead of another person writing it down for me I found dictating it to Microsoft Office 365 extremely easy. Without it I don't think I would have bothered so thank you Microsoft.
