Follow the group on their missions and through their unusual personal relationships over a multiyear period, with an engaging combination of political and sexual intrigue
Author's Notes
The opening segment of chapter two is based on a personal experience awakening aboard an air ambulance with amnesia. My trauma wasn't from an explosion like in the story, but from a Harley motorcycle accident. Wear your helmet.
In chapter three, a middle-aged mom with an inactive sex life, is manipulated into having sexual relations with a younger couple who helped rescue her daughter. Rather than the encounter being a submission, she has to be the one taking the initiative, a titillating read. When there is a subsequent hit contract on a family, another member is added to the team of killers.
The main character had an abusive adult male in her past after her dad disappeared. In chapter five, she travels to Thailand, adds another member to her team, has a run-in with the CIA, and gets a shocking revelation about her father's fate.
Soon thereafter, sisters join the group. They get blindsided with a family disclosure. Several encounters with crime families, a battle, a possible Presidential assassination, Hollywood fame, Witness Protection, and political intrigue add to the excitement.
In the final chapter, another missing dad is located, an occasion which could make the average reader's eyes swell with emotion. All in all, an engaging, page-turning read.
