Famous Maurice and the Mystery of Raining Cats and Dogs It is raining Cats and Dogs outside! says Mom. Excited, Famous Maurice, the sharp-minded, red-haired, dog-detective and miniature poodle runs to his favorite window, but finds no Cats or Dogs raining down anywhere. Where did they suddenly disappear to? Since Mom always tells the truth, he decides to take on the case. In the process of solving the mystery he is chased by a screaming librarian and sniffs for answers around the internet, where no one knows he is a dog. This is a story for younger children, where their imagination helps Maurice solve the mystery. The Author, Ms. Tingvall, is the mom of a red-haired poodle in the real world. She perfectly captures the thoughts of the dog as he tries to solve the mystery. The story is beautifully illustrated, capturing Maurice in all his actions.
