Faith Victorious is a biography of the life and work of Dr. Johann Ebel, written by Jacob Isidor Mombert and originally published in 1882. The book chronicles Ebel's experiences as a Protestant pastor and theologian in Germany during the 17th century, a time of political and religious upheaval. Ebel was known for his unwavering faith and his commitment to the principles of the Reformation, even in the face of persecution and opposition from the Catholic Church and the ruling authorities. The book provides a detailed account of Ebel's upbringing, education, and career, as well as his relationships with other important figures of the time, including Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon. It also explores the broader historical context of Ebel's life, including the Thirty Years' War and the rise of the Enlightenment. Overall, Faith Victorious is a fascinating and informative portrait of a remarkable individual and a pivotal moment in European history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
