An EMP has taken down the grid across the nation and Boise, Idaho isn't faring so well. The Powell family actually made it out of town to escape to their cabin-bunker in the mountains. Alaska has power but Ben Powell has decided he's going to do his best with his friend Nate to head home which is thousands of miles away. But this is Dale's Tale: After Dale leaves Tammy behind, he not only finds a note on her door telling her what her husband is doing, he also finds himself in a no-win situation when he makes it back home. His ex-wife is unbearable, and for some reason, the military is patrolling and looking for him instead of going after the ones causing mayhem in their community. The only reason he came back was for his boys so he knows he has to lay low and he's ready to stay put to protect his family. Of course, nothing in Dale's life ever goes as planned. That note he found is what persuades him to make a tough decision when he's left with no other options. Hopefully, it will be the good luck charm that saves his life.
