Our modern day sleuth operates in the roughest part of south Chicago. He and Vera, his squeeze are accosted by factions of the local mob. Later, they are drawn into assisting two young girls whose mother has been kidnapped by white slave traders. One of his clients has connections with northern factions of the drug cartels. He is invited by the local mob boss on a fishing trip out onto lake Michigan (cement boots included?) they later relocate to southern Utah where they are plagued by renegade Ute Indian cattle rustlers. once everything seems to have calmed down to a dull roar, they are targeted by unscrupulous IRS agents. The FBI even weighs in. Fear not, his trusty side kick, Della, a female version of Rambo (known in the mid-east combat theater of combat as SHE WOLF) seems to be capable of handling any difficulties that might arise.
