The term anti-Semitism is a social phenomenon at the center of topicality in modern society. This act is related to the subject at hand: Ethics and Morality; The Catholic Church's attitude towards anti-Semitism using the example of Der Stellvertreter by Rolf Hochhuth. The aim of our work was to show the position of the Church towards hostility towards Jews during the Second World War in the Third Reich. In view of this situation, we used the following research methodsresearch methods: Theatrical semiotics, character psychology and intertextuality. This has allowed us to establish three lines of study. The first part is concerned with demonstrating the theoretical approach. In the second part we have analyzed the selected work Der Stellvertreter and in the third part we have shown the connection between the church and anti-Semitism. Therefore, we can conclude that the culture of charity should be in the first place.
