Jim Travis is a small town Texas Chief of Police whose past returns to haunt him. Someone wants revenge and sets out to slyly kill the chief. Follow the plot as it unfolds with distractions for the chief but also clues along the way. Aspects of greed and evil in our society are portrayed in this revealing, page turning book. Racial prejudice arises but the story tells how it leads to friendship, understanding and respect. It's also ripe with romance as three women each set out to seduce the chief. You'll not want to sit this book down as you read how anti-social behavior raises it's ugly head and leads to crimes affecting the innocent. Will Travis prevail as he did in the first book of this series, Triage of Troubles?
