I wrote The Elements of Fiction to guide and improve my own fiction. I wanted to capture for my benefit those rules that have helped me to write my stories.

Included is an inventory of scenes. These are example of my prose that I can re-purpose into other stories. I've also included three readers guides that helped me plan for the NaNoWriMo 50,000 word writing competitions and a short autobiography of my writing background.

The Secret Garden Revisited in 2021 is my sixth consecutive novel in the NaNoWriMo annual contest. My previous books are The Luna Cult Chronicles (2016) and its abbreviated version The Gospel of Matthias (2017), Red Mercury Rising (2017), Susan of Neverland (2018), Ebenezer's First Noel (2019), and Hamlet of Alpha Centauri (2020).
