In Lily's second marine adventure, Gianna Perugini gives us a beautiful story about a whale in this book for kids who love marine life...Lily's summer begins with an invitation to visit a marine mammal rescue facility in Canada following her successful rescue of a dolphin. While there, she saves a baby beluga whale. This baby beluga, called Mimic, has a special talent. He imitates the gestures of his rescuers! Lily shares an easy connection with Mimic. Her hope is to spread the potential for an amazing friendship between human and animal, but her roommate, Kinsley, doesn't share the same interest in bonding with marine mammals. Kinsley would rather be singing than engaging with marine life.Lily's excitement about marine mammal welfare will help kids learn compassion for animals. As a female protagonist who loves animals, this young girl shines as a positive and influential role model.
