Unabashedly Christian Mystery-Suspense Novel, set in the early 1990s in the heart of the country, near Kansas City. Eli Thorne has captured the flavor and culture of the time including details like car phones and designer clothes. Our intrepid hero Ted Keyes, college professor, makes no bones about being a Wesleyan evangelical Christian. When the time comes, he boldly confronts the forces of evil that threaten his college and even the woman he loves. What a breath of fresh air. Finally a murder mystery we Christians can enjoy. In addition to a good read, it is informative about Traditional African Religion and its derivatives that are spreading throughout post-modern America. Lots to learn here; It is not just a suspense novel, it's a love story too. Our hero's viewpoint is quaintly '90s and being an honorable bloke, he really tries not to be a chauvinist, but he is a true product of his time. Our shocking mystery starts on Halloween night and races through St. Barbara's Day. A real page turner and an eye opener. Adult themes for adult readers.
